Vision Aragtida

A ten-point programme for Somalia

From Access to Impact

Somalia's challenge is not a lack of resources but a crisis of access, affordability and execution. Eng. Soofe's programme sets out how energy, jobs, investment and strong institutions can turn potential into delivery.

01National energy transformation+

Policies and investment for solar mini-grids, off-grid systems and clean cooking — with power for schools, clinics and water systems.

02Jobs first+

Energy-enabled small businesses, local value chains and incentives that create jobs at scale, especially for young people.

03Global access into local investment+

Investment-friendly reforms and bankable project pipelines that turn diaspora capital and international finance into results.

04Immediate community impact+

Electrifying schools and health centres, clean-energy economic zones and skills programmes for women and youth.

05Climate finance for development+

Positioning one of the world's most climate-vulnerable countries to access climate funds — and spend them transparently.

06Institutions that deliver+

Transparency, accountability and results-based tracking: measuring what government delivers, not just what it promises.

07Infrastructure for growth+

Modern energy, transport and logistics networks that lower the cost of doing business and open up markets.

08Youth as the engine+

Demand-driven skills, support for entrepreneurs and start-ups, and pathways into the digital and renewable-energy economy.

09Partnerships that deliver+

Performance-based agreements that tie funding to measurable results and timelines — execution over announcements.

10Unity, peace & development+

Inclusive dialogue, peace-building that tackles exclusion and inequality, and stability reinforced by jobs and shared prosperity.
